Study Of Rent-seeking On The Perspective Of Political Economy

China is in the process of from the traditional planned economy to a market economy.The rent-seeking in market economy countries and countries in transition is a widespread phenomenon. Rent-seeking activities,not only seriously undermined the market competition rules,but also greatly hindered the market-oriented reform process.China's reform and its practice provides us with abundant chances to observe the rent-seeking activities,which enables us to enrich and develop the rent-seeking theory provides a rare opportunity. This paper attempts to use the West rent-seeking theory to do a preliminary discussion of the various rent-seeking behavior appears in different areas at the present stage.This paper is divided into three parts.Part I:Describes the rent-seeking theory and its economic background and the major point of view in economic schools of the rent-seeking theory firstly, and then describes the rent-seeking theory's research and development in our country.Part II:Analys the performance of China's rent-seeking behavior currently, mainly in the behavior of rent-seeking in the government procurement,the behavior of accounting rent-seeking and the behavior of educational rent-seeking for example to be discussed.Part III:On the base of pointing out the harm of rent-seeking and other one-sided thoughts on positive effect of rent-seeking,and then proposes several countermeasures and proposals of the rent-seeking problems at present in our country.
