An Overall Of Development Of Tomato Industry In Shuanglong Town, Tumoteyou Banner, Baotou City

Tomato has abundant nutritive value, medical and health care value. Except for eaten raw tomato can be processed into peeled tomatoes, tomato sauce, lycopene and tomato juices and so on. Owing to the area of producing tomato is limited in the world, demand of tomato sauce brisk and the agricultural subsidy policy reform of EU, tomato sauce production bases transfer to China. China is becoming the major producing countries of tomato sauce.Shuanglong town, Tumoteyou banner, Baotou city, a region suitable for planting tomato intended for ketchup, is located in the area of Hetao. Under the international background suitable for developing tomato industry, this paper studies on the concept of development of tomato industry in Shuanglong town, Tumoteyou banner, Baotou city. They as follows:1. Planting area selection and rotation of crops arrangements: Shuanglong town has 180,000 mu cultivated land suitable for planting tomato. According to the need of rotation crops in tomato cultivation, 80,000-90,000 mu tomato will be cultivated in Shuanglong town every year. In order to facilitating the acquisition of tomato in time, tomato growing region should be concentrated into a film in the same year.2. Tomato variety mix: According to the need of tomato intended for ketchup and avoiding the tomato fruit harvested peak, the tomato varieties suitable for planting in Shuanglong town are as follow: LIYUAN 7, LIYUAN 8, LIYUAN 15, SHIFAN 15, SHIFAN 27, XINPIN 1 and HONGFAN 10 etc.3. Technical training: In the early stage, Shuanglong town government should organize two types technical training, namely Concentrated training technical and tomato growers planting techniques training on-site. At the same time technical backbone will play a part in demonstration, radiation and leading of farmers.4. Introduction of tomato processing enterprises: Shuanglong town hasn't the advantages of building tomato processing enterprises. Therefore Shuanglong town government should give some preferential policies to attract some large-scale tomato processing enterprises to invest in the town, which will solve effectively the troublous problem of selling tomato.5.Establishment of tomato professional cooperatives: Tomato professional cooperatives will establish the links between tomato market, technology and growing together, which adhere to the principle of "private, civil control, the public benefit" and "voluntary mutual benefit" and carry out the "three unifying" services namely varieties, technical training and sales.
