Energy-saving is the core of Chinese energy strategy and policy, Thermal power plant are both energy conversion and supply center as well as large consumption of resources. Improving the operational efficiency of power plant systems is not only power plant to adapt to the requirements of competition, but also an important content of Chinese national economic and social sustainable development. Therefore, making evaluation work of energy-saving in thermal power plant to promote energy-efficient in power plant, is an important work of continuous improvement.In this paper, according to the actual energy consumption in Dagang Power Plant of Tianjin, evaluation index system of energy-efficient are established, and because the characteristics of more power indicator system, a evaluation model is established based on the factor analysis and support vector machine. Combined with the actual data of Dagang Power Plant, the model of the empirical research is used to verify the feasibility of the method. And the last some suggestions of improving energy-saving work are proposed.
