The Research Of The Jilin Province Make Use Of FDI The Present Condition And Development Strategies

With the constant deepening of the reform and opening-up policy, Jilin province has continuously enhanced its opening-up to the outside level. Its application of FDI has experienced three different stages: fast development in mid1980s-1990s, fluctuation in late1990s- early 2000s, and the strong recovery after the revitalizing strategies of the industrial bases of Northeast China was carried out. Jilin province, at the issuing of"China Tumenjiang Regional Cooperation and Development Plan", has enjoyed a historic opportunity to improve the scale and quality of FDI. This paper, based on explicit statistics, illustrated the significance of FDI application in encouraging the economic development of Jilin province, analyzed the industry distribution, regional distribution, origin country distribution and the investment forms of FDI in Jilin province combining both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, and presented the important role FDI had played in economic and social development in Jilin province utilizing relative statistics in terms of GDP, fixed assets investment, foreign trade, and employment obtaining. At the same time of comprehensively understanding the characteristics of FDI in Jilin province, the author pointed out the major problems of inadequate amount, unreasonable industry framework, seriously unbalanced regional distribution, and lack of great projects invested by world famous enterprises.Aimed at the existing problems of FDI application in Jilin province, this paper put forward the following feasible suggestions and solutions: catching the great opportunity of China Tumenjiang Regional Cooperation and Development Plan to expand FDI application scale at the advantages of Jilin province; reinforcing the instructions in FDI investment fields and improving FDI quality; centralizing FDI industries with the concern of Jilin industrial characteristics; motivating and innovating investment attracting; optimizing the soft and hard environment to ensure sustainable development of FDI application; cultivating and storing FDI applying talents.
