| Based on transshipment theory and innovative introducing"partial transshipment principles", this paper studies the use of transshipment during emergency management in inventory system. Through analytical and numerical analysis, the following issues are studied: How to use the transshipment method facing different type of disruption; how to determine the optimal amount of transshipment; if the system contains more than two warehouses, how to select the optimal shipping out ones and the corresponding optimal amount; if all the transshipment amounts can't satisfy the need of the stockout warehouse, whether should we go on using transshipment or not, if yes, how to determine the optimal warehouses and the shipping amount; how the parameters of the models will affect the transshipment result. Based on the exploration of these issues, this article has finished following the work:(1) After finishing the conceptual overview of emergency incidents and emergency management and summarizing the types and the features of the emergency incidents enterprises faced, we find the entry point for research. Studying on the current transshipment research, the paper makes a full and accurate literature about the kind of transshipment, the main concept and the application of it, which help to find this paper's research direction.(2) Discussing the establishment of corporate emergency transshipment mechanism in different types of emergency cases. Based on the types and the features of the emergency incidents enterprises faced, corresponding transshipment mechanism is proposed. Then how to determine the emergency transshipment objectives no matter which kind of mechanism is chosen is discussed.(3) Using total transshipment profit as the optimal objective, the paper establishes a model for the two-warehouse inventory system and gets an analytical expression of the optimal solution. Through the numerical analysis, we study the impact of shortage cost of the two warehouses, the transport cost and the inventory cycle period of the two warehouses on the optimal amount and optimal shipping point.(4) We extend the two-warehouse model to"n-warehouse"model and discuss the idea for solving the mode: using average transshipment profit as optimal objective. Through numerical analysis of"5- warehouse"inventory system, the paper discusses how to select the shipping point series to gain the optimal profit. Finally, the paper releases the fixed ordering cost and zero transport cost assumption to discuss the cost of these two factors on the transshipment decision-making. |
