This paper seeks from the impact of the modernization process due to the small-peasant economy in French history examined from the French Revolution to the 1970s. To do it, the article is divided into four chapters.Chapter I: The development and existing renson of the small- peasant economy from the French Revolution to the second world war.Chapter II: The long being existence of the small-peasant economy is not conducive to agricultural mechanization, industrialization, political democratization, urbanization.Chapter III: After the Second World War, the French government has completed the transformation of the small- peasant economy by various measures, it accelerated the modernization of city.Conclusion. Small- peasant economy after the revolution has become obstacles to modernization efforts. To speed up the process of modernization, we must seize the historic opportunity to transform small-peasant economy.
