After the 30 years reform and opening up, the Guangdong GDP is always the first one in China mainland, especially in 2009 economic crisis, Guangdong's economic recover early than other cities, therefore, we can foresee the Guangdong critical situation. No cross, no crown. Guangdong is also facing many kinds of development opportunities, eventually, it can make a happen again for the economic society soaring. Whereas, opportunity will bring alone with the challenge as well. However, it is very essential to deep dive to research the Guangdong industrial market segment.This thesis studies 3M China Industrial & Transportation group tape and adhesive division business the next five years strategic plan in Guangdong. 3M is one of the 500 strongest companies in <>, they have already established in China for 25 years, and the Industrial & Transportation group dominate over 30% of total China region sales revenue, whereas, Guangdong sales occupy over 50% of total I&TB group. Hence, Guangdong market is vital for 3M China business growth in the next five years. However, 3M company now encounter the bottleneck for constant growth after the 15 years development and economic crisis suffering. How to protect the core technology, how to expand the market share, how to transfer the import item into the product localization, how to speed up the new product development, those are the questions for 3M China to resolve and deploy the five years strategic plan.The author has been in 3M tape and adhesive division for almost 12 years, he has very good experience and very familiar with this market. Simultaneously, he will try to propose the plan and solution through the MBA course theory and practice to provide the market research for 3M tape and adhesive division next five years strategic plan in Guangdong. On the other hand, the author shall stand on the higher point and new post-economic crisis period to keep up the momentum for the new challenge globally.
