During 2008,financial crisis has taken place in America and has brought enormous impact and destruction to a lot of countries'economy. As a result, it caused decreasing in worldwide consumption and caused the influence on investment furtherly. Finally, it led to "butterfly effect"in economic field.Economy in China has also been influenced.CPI and PPI was in negative growth trend in May 2009.Therefore, impact of financial crisis is still spreading at present. As a result of the impact of financial crisis, The consumption of China appeared a very sharp drop. How to promote consumption is an important subject.Because of expansion of the gap between rich and poor in China, desire to consume was affected greatly. How to stimulate consumption effectively is the focus of our concern.Which social class has greater impact on consumption on earth and how do different types of income affect consumption? If we solve this problem, all problems will be solved. It needs to do research on people's consumption structure and propensity to consume. How to adjust the income distribution structure in order to promote people's consumption desires is the focus of the current problems faced by the government. Therefore, study of the relationship between income distribution structure and its effects on consumption has become particularly important. In this paper, study bases on social class of Chinese urban residents.By referencing and drawing lessons from international research of relationship between income and consumption of urban residents of many documents and absorb the excellent results of their research, and explore their research areas that aren't involved in. Ultimately, we determine the research content of this article:we analyze the relative position of various income groups of urban residents in income distribution and impact factor of various income groups to the overall average propensity to consume. Then we analyze variation features of the overall average propensity to consume changes with income in our country and the relationship between income gap and consumption demand. From the statistical analysis, the level of consumption depends on high-income group and its average propensity to consume is very low. The factors deciding impact of regulation of income distribution on the average propensity to consume mainly is the average propensity to consume under the effect of different income groups. As long as the average propensity to consume under income effect presents a decreasing trend with income class increaseing,Reducing the income distribution status of high-income groups and raising the status of middle-lower income groups would raise the overall average propensity to consume. Then, we establish a panel data model, analyzing the impact of wage income, net operating income, property income and transfer income on consumption demand,so as to get marginal propensity to consume of the effect of different income on consumption demand, average spontaneous consumption level of all regions and deviation estimation of spontaneous consumption level to average spontaneous consumption level.Through research, we find that wage income has the greatest impact on consumer demand, but has the smallest impact affected by previous consumption level.Transfer income has the smallest impact on consumer demand Then,we discuss how to furtherly enhance consumption demand of urban residents, thus,to achieve the fast and healthy development of Chinese economy and raise the living standards of urban residents gradually.
