Problems Of Low-carbon Consumption In China And Countermeasures

Although industrial revolution, electric revolution and information revolution have accumulated material wealth, it have broken ecological balance and polluted environment. Especially global warming and extremely frequent bad weather have heightened people's vigilance. All the countries actively took measures to deal with the climate change crisis, and developed low-carbon economy. However, advocating low-carbon consumption was the important step for low carbon economy development and construction.Low-carbon consumption was to meet the requirement of low-carbon economy development. It attached great importance to the low carbon of consumer goods, its using course, as well as after using when basic needs were met. Low-carbon consumption marked by highly ration, sustainability and symbiosis.This composition made a synthesis of present research both at home and abroad on low-carbon economy and low-carbon consumption. It made the clear connotation, and put forward highly rational, sustainability and symbiosis of low-carbon consumption by means of some theories. The article gave a brief introduction to our consumption situation and analyzed problems of low-carbon consumption from consumer, enterprise, market and government. It also learned the succeed experience of low-carbon consumption from the developed countries such as Britain, Japan and the United States. From the aspect of consumers participating, enterprises leading, markets standardizing, governments guiding, it proposed some effective measures.Consumers participating included establishing scientific conception, attaching weight to environmental education and increasing the income; Enterprises leading included developing low carbon industry and technology; Markets standardizing included strengthening the consciousness and perfecting the service of low-carbon consumption; Governments guiding included perfecting laws and rules, formulating criterion and tax policies and etc.
