Research On The Design Of Heavy Truck Body

Truck, also called goods vehicle, is a kind of commercial vehicles for the transport of goods and equipments. Since automobile company which named Daimler Chrysler first created a truck in 1896 in German, it has passed over 100 years. Trucks are becoming essential tools in infrastructure construction and transport logistics, and the level of design and manufacture is also rising in the world. The design of heavy trucks has been improving the original design features to the attention of high-performance, the occupants comfortable, handsome in appearance development. practicability, comfortability and attractive appearance have become a heavy truck's new requirements and objectives.Heavy truck as a giant in the family car, the tall body, powerful and lasting, stable atmospheric appearance, comfortable safety, always attract a lot of attention with extraordinary artistic charm. Heavy truck not only own common feathers of cars' modeling, but also has its own characteristics.With the rapid development of the national economy for many years, particularly national investments in infrastructure construction increase year by year, which make Chinese truck production showed the outbreak of development a few years ago. However, generally speaking, our heavy trucks compared to developed countries'in Europe and America, is still a big gap not only in vehicle reliability, power, security, comfort, environmental protection and the use of electronic control system,but is not good about the appearance.This paper is to heavy truck for the study. In order to find their commonalities and differences, we study and investigate the status and the development of modeling, analysis characteristics of the heavy truck modeling in different regions, sum up domestic and foreign brands of different maturity of outstanding heavy truck modeling combinating with the knowledge of color and the law of structure. In the same time, we analyse briefly the relationship between heavy truck modeling and aerodynamics and ergonomics. We sum up the heavy truck modeling laws and methods, and verify it through certain modeling examples.
