By the increasing of energy price and labor cost, currently there is a widespread pressure for the manufacturing. To adapt this, Sensormatic do its efforts to study on the VPT labor-intensive mode of the low labor cost rotary line, optimize and creat a flexible, transportable manufacturing process has a great significance.This thesis analysis the current labor-intensive rotary line, evaluate its capacity and operation cost including define existing process map, analysis the capacity and cost. Then, optimize the line by two aspects base on the evaluation: the first aspect is VPT product optimize by redesign the product; the second aspect is optimize the process.Redesign and development VPT product to optimize it by using the following tools: QFD, Brainstorming, Pugh-Matrix tools for concept generation and selection; Pro-e, DOE for concept verification; DFMEA for quality assurance.There are two options for process optimize. The first one is optimize the current line by building LP (linear programming) model, and the second one is design the automated linear line.At last, investment financial analysis is necessary for the decision.
