Urbanization is of great significance for the development of China in the 21st century. How to ensure the smooth progress of urbanization and improve the quality of urbanization has become the most important issue. In the urbanization of our country, the inequalities of opportunity to gain public goods and services are evolving into urgent social equity problems. Handled poorly will affect the stability of socio-economic development, thus impeding the process of urbanization. Therefore ,how to adjust and improve public investment structure and policies, narrowing the social gap between rich and poor and eliminating the negative impact, ensuring the smooth progress urbanization, which is an important research subject in depth.This paper focusing on structural optimization of public investment to promote urbanization development and urbanization promote structural optimization of public investment, from the meaning of public goods and public investment, first of all, defines the scope of our public investment, which is the premise and structure optimization basis. Then, using Logistics curve to establish prediction model, we predict the process of urbanization in China and estimate the number of China's urban population in 2008-2050. On this basis, we calculate the overall size of public investment in the future years in order to provide the basis for investment policy. By Cobb - Douglas production function, we establish the multiple regression model of public investment structure between economic growth and social equity, using Eviews5.0 statistical software, using ordinary least squares method, result in different effects of public investment projects. Finally, based on empirical analysis, making some operational suggestions and measures, this paper offers advices and suggestions for building a harmonious society...
