With the further development of market economy in our country, enterprises are facing more and more fierce competition and challenges. Knowledge staffs are becoming the core part of the human resources in enterprises. Therefore, It has special theoretic and realistic sense to nurture organization commitment of knowledge staffs, through retaining knowledge staffs and understanding their needs form psychology,feeling and development aspect. Organizational commitment is a series of unwritten psychological contract that always exist in staffs and organization. In this paper, they use "Organizational Commitment" to summarize staffs' independence and ownership to the enterprises and divide it into Affective Commitment, Ideal Commitment, Opportunitive Commitment, Normative Commitment and Economic Commitment. There are a lot of articles about Organizational Commitment, but lacking articles which summarize the relationship between reasons of staff retention and organizational commitment. Therefor, this thesis studies on the organizational commitment from the reasons of staff retention angle.Firstly, on the basis of reading a great amount of related articles and existed summarying about the relationship between reasons of staff retention and organizational commitment, we figure out research assumptions, and then we establish given model of this paper. Secondly, in order to certificate the given model and research assumptions, we use the data from 260 knowledge staffs of enterprises and SPSS statistical software to analysis, which we can figure out the relationship between reasons of staff retention and organizational commitment, thereby, raising organizational commitment of knowledge staffs. At last, we also probe into the different influence to organizational commitment with regards to the personal characteristics variables:genders, ages, diplomas, working years, position and job types. With these conclusions, we modify the given model and research assumptions.
