According to " Report on Payment System Operating of the 2nd quarter in 2009"from The People's Bank of China. By the end of the 2nd quarter of 2009, the amount of credit card issuer is 162.6151 million, compared to the end of the 1st quarter has increased 8.1%. By the end of the 2nd quarter, China's credit card has a volume of 0.12 per capita. The higher penetration of bank cards means the use environment is getting better, while the penetration of bank cards increased by 10% each, can directly increase GDP by 0.5%. Bank Card has become the most frequent way of non-cash payment instruments by Chinese residents. And become a strong alternative of cash in the retail consumer market. Credit card is now an important tool for the consumer credit in china.The Higher Educated Young & Mid-age People not only constitute a group of middle-income class, but also will become the main body of the future of middle-income class. They are comprehensive high-quality, rich enterprise and creativity, have been or are becoming the backbone of today's society. A good grip to their consumption characteristics and consumer decision-making process, not only is very important for financial institutions, but also for the macro level, it is helpful to provide a basis for the development of consumer credit and stimulate consumption to expand effective demand to promote stable and healthy economic development.The main purpose of this research is to get the clear understanding of the status of credit card spending and consumer decision-making characteristics with credit cards of The Young People with Higher Education, and then study further. It has important practical significance to China's macro-consumption, policies, financial system and includes consumer credit business, as well as individual consumers.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the Introduction. This part is separated into, the macroeconomic, financial system and development of individual consumers'three main parts, to illustrate the background to the study and significance. Introduction of credit cards in the basic theory of consumer research were summarized respectively, from the credit card price and the use of cost, consumer rationality and irrationality, as well as the permanent income hypothesis three theoretical bases of the previous studies. The first part also includes research path, research methods and the framework of the study.The second part is a card consumption survey. First, the summary of current situation of domestic and international credit cards usages, so that readers can obtain an overall view for credit cards. The following content into the formal part of the questionnaire survey, including questionnaire design, recall the release of the questionnaire and related description of the problems.The third part is dealing with the data from the survey into empirical analysis. Mainly divided into two levels, the first part contains the status of credit card spending and the factors affecting the cross-analysis of The Young People with Higher Education.The fourth part is a summary of the conclusions for research and some recommendations.
