Sino-Russian Energy Cooperation-based On Bilateral Energy Condition And Strategic Analysis And Forecast

Energy (especially oil and natural gas) is the blood of the modern industrial society, the strategic resource which all of the countries in the world try to reserve quickly for their economic development, the important factor which can influence a country's economic security and even the overall security. Most countries today face the problem of energy security, and therefore most countries pay more attention to formulating the energy strategy, including China.China is one of the biggest countries in the world to produce energy, and even it is one of the biggest countries in the world to consume energy. Most of the energy in China needs to import, and in recent years the dependency of the energy in China is more than 50%. However, the imported energy of China depends on the Middle East and Africa more, but the political situation there is unstable and the transport channel depends on the Strait of Malacca waterway whose economic relations is complex. This gives China's energy security a great deal of hidden dangers.Russia which is independent of OPEC is one of the biggest countries to produce and import energy. It is rich in energy resources and it is next to China geographically, so it is no doubt that it is an important choice to carry out energy cooperation with Russia so that China can release energy security. The political and economic relations between China and Russia are good, so they are the solid foundation for energy cooperation. However, because of the domestic and international constraints, the Sino-Russian energy cooperation is not successful. Various factors determine the prospects of the energy cooperation of the two countries.Sino-Russian energy cooperation between the two countries is of great significance. The deep development of the energy cooperation of the two countries can not only promote the economic development and common prosperity, but also it even can enrich, develop and swell Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation. This paper tries to provide some suggestion for the energy cooperation's smooth development between the two countries in the future through the analysis of the basis of the Sino-Russian energy cooperation and many kinds of the constraints.
