Dahongshan copper area locates in the Junction site of Gasa county, Laochang county and Xinhua in Xinping, Yunnan. It's well-known as high concentration of copper and iron resources. In this paper, the relationship of structure and mineralization have been studied which based on the field survey and former studies, to analyze the structure characteristic of Dahongshan copper area by remote sensing, has obtained the following understanding and the achievement:1. The study area tectonic system occurrence and development of the sequence as follows:Early stage east-westward structure—Early stage north-southward tectonic—Northwestward structure (Later period east-westward structure)—Late north-southward structures.2. The east-westward ore-controlling structure was zonal distribution.The northwestward fracture have damaged ore continuity, the integrity of volcanic rock and intrusive。In the regional geological structure, the north-southward structures mainly were controlled by the north-southward central yunnan depression zone with the basement of Dahongshan gr.Ⅰ,Ⅱore belt were controlled by the lithologic contact zone.3. The east-westward circular structure of line-lines intersect parts of the regional east-westward and north-southward lineament zone is a remote sensing information symbol of Dahongshan copper regional metallogen, with the region mineralization line-link structure symbol. The east-westward link, ring-chain circular structure reflects a general characteristics of metallogenic volcanic apparatus and structure in the east-west belt. The line-lines intersect structure of east-westward and north-southward lineament zone were the line-ring structure sign of Dahongshan copper deposits positioning.4. The three preferable ore-finding areas have been delineated by Dahongshan iron-copper metallogenic prognosis, which were obtained by the line-ring structural characteristics, geological, geophysical, geochemical and the remote sensing metallogenic prediction sign.
