Longtanqing copper mining is located in the end of the East Tethys - the Himalayan metallogenic, the southern end of the Lanping-Simao Mesozoic rift trough,west of the Lancang faults.There are some deposits in this area,like Xinshan iron mine,Longba copper,Laobaizhai lead and zinc point. This article is on the basis of fully understanding the mining regional geological background and geological features, mainly through the tectonic distribution of Longtanqing minning and its control action on the copper, analysis of remote sensing spectral characteristics of rocks and minerals, reflectance variability and the spectral characteristics of copper mineral, we initial established ore prospecting direction signs and pointed out the way to it; We concluded the relationship between the copper content and the rocks and minerals spectral variability through the processing and analysis of rocks and minerals'reflectance spectra characteristics and the comparison of Copper content's spectral curve.And we also according to mine copper mine validated geochemical anomalies is mainly due to the role of structural control. This article made the following understanding:Longtanqing ore minerals within the mining area is mainly granular structure of subhedral - it is shaped, major tectonic structures are dust spots, stripe-like particle,sparse infection - infection-like dense, Compact block, small veins, stockwork, star-shaped, dot-like and the brecciated, etc. Mineral components are:metal copper minerals are mainly chalcocite, tetrahedrite, chalcopyrite, silver copper antimony, siderite and pyrite, oxide minerals are malachite, covellite, azurite etc and gangue minerals are mainly quartz, barite,etc.Through the observation in the thin sections of mining rock samples under the microscope, the wall rock alteration is significant in mining and the main alteration types are:baritization, limonitization, siderites and argillation,etc. Zonal distribution of alteration along the fault zone, it is strong growth in the late veins and barite is the main type. To limonite and siderite of technology-based multi-layered or area alteration occurs along the layer, seam with the strong, weak or disappear rock ledge above.Minning's ore-controlling factors are:formation, lithology and structural control,and the srutctural control is the key. Copper ore bodies is mainly produced in the Dalubian group (T3d),and it Can be divided into 8 layers. Ore bodies is distributed in lenticular,layered and layered, graded relationship with the rock show.Therefore, ore is controlled by the stratigraphy and lithologic. Through the interpretation of remote sensing images of the mining, the main mining area is in the center of ring structure and it is helpful for the mineralization. The major mining area is a group of parallel northeast - southwest and near the east-west lineament, north-south linear structure.There is 4 faults in this mining? Fl is the main ore-controlling faults.In combination with the information of the hang exposed, Ore bodies is mainly related with faults constructures,and the constructures has provided a nice space for the ore.Longtanqing copper is mining of a stage, multi-directional control fracture, we can find the lots more copper content, determine the fracture related to mineralization and search for the new ore block through researching of the fault structure, geochemical characteristics. Indicating that shown here have a strong hot brine activities when existing the copper mineralization, barite and siderite. These favorable alteration along the fracture distribution, in the deep or near the ore should be given attention.Besides, rock containing veins appear in the body or there sparse disseminated chalcopyrite, tetrahedrite, etc., can be used as a direct prospecting, and its bottom or near the ore bodies may exist.According to mine copper geochemistry samples were compared with their spectral curves found:reflectance spectra of the samples containing copper element shape curve is more smooth, no obvious peaks and valleys, the absorption band is relatively flat; reflectance spectra of samples without copper was undulating curves, sharp absorption bands。Reflectivity of copper elements in the sample are generally lower than non-spectral reflectance curves of copper samples, This is mainly because the sample mineralization, argillation dark and sample surface roughness factors.
