In recent years, with the rapid developing of vocational education, there exist such students in vocational colleges; they differ in the form of entering colleges with the ordinary college students. They are professional secondary school students or former vocational school students; we usually call these students vocational counterparts. These students always have some difficulties in their studies in the subjects they learn, especially in mathematics. It impedes the students the development in all-round way. Based on the extensive research, the author found that, so far, few studies on the vocational counterparts' students, the studies on mathematics are even fewer. This has seriously hindered the student's academic growth and personality development. In order to solve the corresponding problem of mathematical learning difficulties, we must explore the reasons.Instructed by the theory of mathematics education and the psychology of mathematics education, and on the basis of related research results home and abroad, using the discussion and questionnaire methods, the author on this paper conducted a questionnaire survey and analysis to the students in Shandong Industry Vocational College, Shandong Labor Technical vocational College, Zaozhuang Science and Technology Vocational College and Shandong Shengli Vocational College, to find the causes of learning mathematics difficultly for the first-year counterparts students in vocational college. As a result, the author proposed some corresponding teaching strategies.This paper constituted 6 chapters.Chapterl:Questions, review the present situations and the development of the research, and proposed the problem on mathematical learning difficulties in counterparts students in vocational college.Chapter2:It defines the concept of learning difficulties; analyzes the causes of the formation of mathematical learning difficulties and its expressiveness, analyzes the test form of mathematical learning difficulties. Chapter3:Use the methods of questionnaire and mathematical statistics and analysis to explore the causes of mathematical learning difficulties in the first-year counterparts'students.Chapter4:explore the causes of mathematical learning difficulties in the first-year counterparts'students in theory and summarize the reasons.Chapter5:Discuss the strategies for teaching the counterparts students in the vocational college from eight aspects.Chapter6:ConclusionThe research and practice proved that, during mathematics teaching the vocational counterparts'students, we must pay attention to effects of students' motivation, interests, learning methods, will, cognition, basic math skills, meta-cognition and other factors, and take positive and effective measures to develop their excellent non-intellectual qualities, and improve their basic math skills. Only this way can they get rid of the corresponding mathematical learning difficulties, and develop on all the aspects.
