With the rapid constructing of passenger-dedicated railway line, the speed improving and the running density increasing, it becomes an important problem how to assure the train safety and punctuality. The train traffic control system is used to control all resources including trains and transport resources , which plays an important role to assure the train safety & punctuality , to use the railway transport resources properly and to improve the economic benefit .For the train traffic control system , the mixed logic dynamic method is used in this paper in order to build the train traffic control system model and to improve dispatching automation level. The main research works of this article as follows:1. Through looking up lot's of literatures, the mainly research methods and results used for train traffic control at the home and abroad are summarized briefly, and an idea is suggested that the is used to study the train traffic control system.2. Through studying the mixed logic dynamic system theory, some equivalent conversion formulas between propositional logic and mixed integer linear inequalities is summarized, and the standard forms of the mixed logic dynamic model and the general modelling process are described in detail.3. Through analyzed the train traffic control process, it is pointed out that there exist three discrete events: normal events, objective events and subjective events. Finally, the nature of the train traffic control system is pointed out in this paper4. The train traffic control system model is built based on mixed logic dynamic, and the process that constraints is converted to linear constraints inequality is described.5. Taking a dispatch section including six stations and five sections as an example, The model presented in this paper is simulated and analyzed and the result shows the model's validity.
