With the development of science and technology, magnetic specimen has been widely used and the magnetoelastic buckling problem has been paid much more attention. A convincible explanation is still to be made because of the complexity of the problem. People always assume magnetic field affects objects in the form of force or force moment. Now we bring up a new theory that magnetoexpansion leads to the buckling of plate.Based on this theory we deduce related equations of expansion force in plate and build elements of plate and magnetic field. After the analysis of magnetic field by FEM and some numerical computation we get the critical value of magnetic field when plate buckles.
