Research And Practice Of Digital Maps, Vector Data Check

The quality of digital map is vital to its application. How to contro1 the quality ofdigital map and remove the error is very important to digita1 map production. Some keyways on checking vector data of digital map on the basic of summarizing old ones arediscussed and practised specially in this papeLBecause photo orientation is required for using identified photograph or image pairto check the vector data, the theory and method of automatic photo orientation isdiscussed firstly Then this paper discusses the method of checking feature data andcontour data. Based on error statistic, it simply discusses the way to estimate the qualityof digital map. At last, based ol1 the theory and method presented in the paper, a checkingsystem of vector data of aerial photogrammetry is built. The experimental results expressthat the theory and method presented in the paper is correct and possible.
