It determines the conception of the evaluationof residence development conditions of the old city districts, describes briefly the theorybase and technical support.The second section: forming the index system of the residence developmentconditions of the old city districts. This section expounds the principles of forming theindex system, consulting the experts' advice, selecting the delegating index, forming theindex system and determining the factors' weights by Improved Analytic HierarchyProcess (IAHP).The third section: Selecting the evaluation models. The valuation models concludesingle factor evaluation models and general evaluation model. Giving every evaluationfactor certain model respectively, according to evaluation item's conditions need to showthe effect of evaluation factors' intensity change to suitable degree of evaluation items.The general evaluation model is the sum of every factor' weight model.The fourth section: Case study. Taking Jinan City as an example, building basicdatabase including spatial and attribute database. And applying the evaluation indexsystem and models, evaluating the every factor respectively and finally making thegeneral evaluation based on Mapinfo5.O. The content of evaluation includes evaluationmodels, evaluation procedure and the analysis of the results.The fifth section: According to the evaluation results, Analyzing the developmentconditions of all the old city districts and ranking them, At last, putting forwardsuggestions and measures, which explain how to rationally reconstruct them.The last section: conclusions.
