Arsenic Geochemical Barrier Function

The physicochemical property of element and its chemical compounds is the internal cause that influences element moving. But the internal cause is just a possibility of element moving. If there are no certain external conditions, the possibility can't be changed into reality. In different external conditions, the way and extent of element moving is different and the danger to animals and plants is very different too. The physicochemical property of environment includes acidity, alkalinity, oxidation and reduction of the environment, colloid's composition and contend. On one hand, the physicochemical property of environment results from element moving and it has law of regions distribution. On the other hand, it has influence to element moving. As a result, special environment that is of advantage to deposit and fix some elements has formed, which is called geochemical barrier.The geochemical barrier environment is analyzed theoretically and the law of arsenic element moving in this environment is discussed further. The application of the theory is given.
