Land Use Change Graphics Information And To Learn Mechanisms Preliminary Study

One important feature of geography phenomenon or spatial object was that they were represented as graph in specific temporal and spatial sequence. The difformity of these graphs reflected the diversity of their formative mechanism, behavior character and development phase. Thus the research for geography spatial graph could educe the evolvement law. As the result of the interaction between human being and the nature, the shape character of land use patch was changing with the intensity and direction of this force and becoming the foundation of land use function and dynamic change research. Patch of dissimilar land use types had different spatial graph character, and patch of the same land use type also exhibited different spatial shape in different evolvement phase or in different environment. Furthermore land use spatial pattern composed of the land use patch type, amount, size, figure, edge character, location and so on contained abundant land use temporal and spatial evolvement information.This paper took Changling County Jinlin Province as the study area, and integrated remote sensing data and other correlative material to get the land use maps for 1991,1995 and 2000 years. And recur to the spatial analysis function of geography information system and statistical analysis software, the graph information expression means of land use change and its geography significant were studied. This study method was a new way for LUCC research. Farther exploration of the driven mechanism of land use pattern and its dynamic change from the graph information point was a new attempt to perfect the description and analysis of LUCC temporal spatial evolvement process. It was an innovation in some degree and has some theoretic significance.The paper was divided into five chapters as follows: The first chapter summarized the significance of graphic information expression, and reviewsthe present study about it at home and abroad, and then explain the mainmstudy content, aim and study method in this paper. The second chapter introduced the study area, including its nature environment and social economic development. The third chapter studied the graphic information significant of land use patch and land use spatial pattern based on the land use data in Changling County. The forth chapter analysed the relationship between land use change and its graphic information. The fifth chapter stated the conclusion of this paper.
