The research on 3D reconstruction based on remote sensing data has become one of the focuses in the field of Digital Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System.Combined with reconstruction of cybercity , this thesis studies how to build such a system.After summarizing most 3D modeling technologies ,the thesis lay emphasis on the 3D modeling methods using geometric modeling.Firstly, it discusses the new way of CAD geometric modeling-Photogrammetry/CAD, that means modeling with photogrammetry fruit. It also develops a modeling tool (VRMS) in 3DS MAX environment, through which can users browse the result dynamically. It proved to be efficient and accurate compared with traditional CAD modeling methods that lack of precision control .The tool can be used to build large area cybercity.Secondly ,the thesis give some experiments on modeling cybercity with VRML/GeoVRML using the data produced by VRMS.Lastly, it also discussed the main frame and the other key technologies of build 3D reconstruction system based on remote sensing data.
