Anhui University Campus Geographic Information System Design

With the rapid progress of the construction of the university, Digital Campus is a trend for managing and planning the modern university. Establishing campus geographic information system integrates map information with university's information of management and plan, which brings us into the new interaction query times with perfect combination of the graphic, the sound and the word.This thesis generalized the present development and research situations of domestic and foreign geographic information system, assayed the key technologies for developing the system, summarized the algorithm of spatial distance and induced mathematical model of scanned topography screen-digitizing coordinate transformation. In systems design respect, this thesis discussed important points for designing and realizing campus geographic information system thoroughly, including system structure, analysis and establishment of data, main functions and their realizations and so on.The system took main campus of Anhui University of Science and Technology for example, used digital topography from the combination of scanned topography screen-digitizing and digital mapping as the background, which showed campus buildings, public institutions, greenbelts and so forth clearly. It realized the functions of campus browse, graphics text interaction query, resources disposition, spatial analysis and so on, which solved the problem that traditional campus management information system couldn't handle spatial data. visualization in campus management information fits in with the requirement of the development of the university management and plan, provides convenience for planning and managing the campus, and holds forth experience for discussing how to set up economic, efficient, practicable campus geographic information system in the university.
