Natural Sciences, Gadamer's Hermeneutics Perspective

The publication of Being and Time is an important signal in the history of philosophy :Not only did Hedeigger set up a new ontology that is quite different from the traditional ontology, but also he made an ontological turn in the development of Hermeneutics, which was a break through for Gadamer' philosophical hermeneutics.The development of philosophical Hermeneutics of Gadamer is based on criticizing "the Lingual Turn" and connects with "the Interpretive Turn" closely. The philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer was different from all old Hermeneutics. It did not develop method , regulation and procedure for better understanding , but inquire into how understanding could happen by following Heidegger' fundamental ontology and the category of time. It explained the horizontal harmonize between past, now and future and illustrated that we could only understand the relative meaning of history.Two problems will be studied in this article : one is that whether we can explain nature science by using Hermeneutics ? Another is that if it is possible , which kingdom we can talk about in nature science ? The article clarifies that philosophical Hermeneutics of Gadamer thinks that not only human science but also nature science is explanation work. by analyzing manner of Truth and Method and the relation between Gadamer and Heidegger and other philosopher .This thesis includes introduction , text and conclusion ,etc. The introduction has pointed out the philosophy of Gadamer was used in so many subjects , thereby there are no shadows of Hermeneutics in nature science . This introduction tells us the selected title source of this text and theoretical foundation. The theory of nature science and the history of science are two focuses in the view of philosopher of science .Therefore this paper will be divided into three parts . Chapter one is on possibility of Hermeneutics of Gadamer extending into nature science ; Chapter two is on the theory of nature science which is interpretive in then science study ; Chapter three is on History of Science which is interpretive too in the view of Gadamer .Based on studying Gadamer's Truth and Method, this paper centers on unearthing Gadamer's pre-seeing theory and effective history theory in his Hermeneutics, and points out that pre-understanding is indispenasable to understanding, succeeds to individual and history and cant's be rejected by individuals. Pre-understanding is just thestate of pre-seeing which is the result of history, historical existence of self constitution and the basis of all understanding. Pre-seeing has its own status in understanding, expands understanding, and serves as the key to opening the Hermeneutics circle.Fusion of horizons and Hermeneutics cycle are both important conceptions in Gadamer's Hermeneutics, and they will be talked about in some chapters of this paper.
