Popper's Understanding Of Theory And Its Hermeneutic Significance

Popper is a renowned contemporary scientific philosopher whose thoughts on scientific philosophy have received widespread attention and universal recognition in the academic field. But its understanding theory, an important component of his scientific philosophy, actually had not been valued. In view of this, this article attempts to carry on a systematic summary and redefinition to its understanding theory, analyzes the status of his understanding theory thoroughly in the entire system of Popper's philosophic thinking, furthermore, the theoretical and practical values of his understanding theory on the development of hermeneutic. This article divides into four parts:The first part, mainly elaborated the ontology foundation of Popper's understanding theory as well as it's object. Popper proposed the famous three world theory, which broken the traditional dual division world method, laid the ontology foundation for its understanding theory. Under the premise of three world theory , has analyzed the third world characteristic, namely the objectivity, the independency, the substantiality as well as linguistic, It is just the characteristics of the third world that can guarantee the understanding process independence and objective.The second part, is mainly carries on combs comprehensively and inquired into the premise of Popper's understanding theory , elaborated his brand-new prejudice view systematically. The understanding is the third world object, the third world is the objective existence, although we cannot deny that the understanding's subjectivity, but to be the final state, understanding is objective. People's duty is the discovering, but discovery's logic is objective, therefore the understanding itself is objective, therefore it is insignificant the traditional explanation pursues objectivity.The fourth part, analyzes Popper's understanding theory's significance to the scientific philosophy and traditional explanation as well as the theory's insufficiency. Popper's understanding theory's great significance is not only laying in differentiating the science with the non-science with attests, introducting the explanation study domain from the humanities domain natural sciences domain, laiding the foundation of the scientific philosophy's explanative change. And more importantly, it has established the prejudice legal status.
