Water resource is one of the most important resources to human being. It is very important for mankind to research the usage of the limited water resource. Even in this way can people live in the world long time. Snow meltwater plays a very important role in the effect usage of the water resource. Now it is possible to monitor snow cover in the large area. SRM(Snowmelt runoff model) has successfully simulated more than eight basins, which are located in 25 countries .In this paper the SRM is applied to simulate smowmelt runoff in Manasi basin of Xinjiang, China. The emphasis in this paper is to apply remote sensing data(MODIS) as input parameters and factors, resulting in improving the accuracy of simulating. The result showed that the coefficient of determination of the simulation could reach 0.9866,and the deviation of the runoff volumes was within 3.598. The result shows, the key of simulating spring snowmelt runoff is inputting accurate parameters. If the parameters can be adjusted according to the method described in this paper, the model will be easily used to the similar basins.
