Cadastral database is a spatio-temporal database, which records the space, attribute and time information of each parcel's boundary, authority, usage, and so on. With the particularity of topological relationship between cadastral entities, it is difficult to update the Cadastral database when a change happened. Therefore it is very common to update data mutually. While the manual updating always will lead to errors in the maintenance of integrity of data, which means it is vital to realize automatic or semi-automatic data updating of CIS.Taking object-oriented database model and spatio-temporal GIS as its foundation and storing all the historical data and current data in one database, an experimental system of incremental updating was designed and carried out, in which three main aspects will be included:1) The module of topological query, including the topological query of plots/ plots, plots / boundaries, boundaries/ boundaries or nodes /plots etc;2) The module of updating, such as the automatic or semi-automatic updating of plot split, union, reallocation, modification of the common border and the corresponding arithmetic and flow;3) The module of spatio-temporal query, including query of father-son relations, query of snapshot, query of changed data etc;In the end, taking VC++.NET as a developing setting and integrating Maplnfo 7.0 and Oracle spatial 9.2 which is called by 0040 (Oracle Objects for OLE), ODBC and OCCI (Oracle C++ Call Interface), the author illustrates the theories and methods by some spatial data.
