The Shandong Xiejiagou Gold Deposit, Detailed Technical And Economic Evaluation

Detailed technical and economic evaluation for ore deposits is, based ongeological appraisal according to the technical and economic conditions, a kind ofeconomy profit estimation for a certain indicated ore deposit which is going to bemined for industry development. This kind of technical and economic evaluation forore deposits is of significance to geological survey and mine designing as well asdevelopment. This paper aims to find out an optimized schedule for Xiejiagou GoldMine through detailed technical and economic evaluation for ore deposit. Beginningfrom introducing the location and local economical conditions of Xiejiagou GoldMine, this article, after analyzing the geological features and then specifying majorindexes such as grade and reserve as well as market situation of gold nowadays,proposes three different beneficiation schedules based on current technical conditions,that is 1000t/d, 2000t/d and 3000t/d according to indicated reserve in Xiejiagou GoldMine. The purpose is to select one schedule in which the technical conditions andeconomic profit can reach the optimized point. Cash Flow and Inner Return Rate areadopted in this paper to calculate important indexes such as investment interest rate,investment return period, net present value and inner return rate, etc for threeadvanced schedules and after comparing the outcome, it is thought that Schedule Ⅱisthe optimized one in an overall run. Considering the risk-resist ability of theseschedules they may encounter, sensitive analysis is carried out to estimate thoseindexes and it is indicated that every index is within the controllable limits. Finally,this paper indicates that Xiejiagou will be very profitable in employing scheduleⅡdueto its convenient location and transportation conditions plus the favorablemetallogenic setting;meanwhile it is also recommonded that recycling theaccompanying elements inside the deposit and building a smelting plant would bebetter for Xiejiagou.
