The Very-Long-Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) is one of the most powerful techniques for astronomy and geodesy. Because of the inherent internationalism of VLBI, a new concept of VLBI standard interface is proposed in recent years, corresponding specifications are established soon. To keep pace with the other VLBI observatories, VLBI equipments in Shanghai observatory need VLBI standard interface in the near future, so it is worthy of research to realize VLBI standard interface.The FPGA-based implementation of data input module and data output module of VLBI standard interface is expatiated in this dissertation. The first two chapters introduce the principle of VLBI and the development of VLBI standard interface. Chapter 3 is about the developing tools and validating tools. Chapter 4 describes the test systems in detail. Chapter 5 and 6 are the realization of data input module and data output module, which includes module partition, inner structure of submodules and the timing relationship of main signals. Chapter 7 presents test plans and the validating results.VHDL is used in the design. Synthesis, place and route are all done in ISE. The timing simulation is done in Modelsim. At last, the design files are downloaded to the Virtex-II development board for real-time validation which shows that both the data input module and the data output module work correctly.
