The metallogenetic area of Southeast Yunnan has been paid attension to by the geological society because of its special geological setting and abundant mineral resources. It is one of the emphatic areas in prospecting for the micrograined disseminated Au deposit in recent years. In this paper, we have a profound study on the stratigraphy, lithological character, structural process, magmatism and mineral resources of this area according to the analysis of regional geological metallogenetic conditions. And we believe that the Au metallogenesis is controlled comprehensively by the factors of stratigraphy, lithological character, structural deformation and magmatism, etc. The Au deposits occur mostly in the stratigraphic horizons with high Au background. The ore-bearing rocks are fine arenite and carbonate rock. And the structural deformation is characterized by the "unconformity+fault(zone)". The unconformable contact is transformed by the later intensive structural process and the fault zone is formed near it, which is a very important structure controlling ore deposit in this area. According to the profound analysis of geological conditions of metallogenesis, collection of factors controlling ore deposit and comprehensive information of metallogenesis(geological, remote sensing image, geochemical) the ore prospecting direction and the prospective target area are put forward, which are divided into 5 Au metallogenetic zones, 8 prognostic ore prospecting target areas. The field examination of 2 target areas is carried out, which has good effects and provides the information in detail and lays the foundation of the prospecting for the micrograined disseminated Au deposit in this area.
