The recent researches have shown that in the course of highly charged ions approaching to the surfaces of metal solids ,"hollow atoms" can be generated by the resonance transfer of a lot of valence electrons from the conduction bands to highly-lying empty Rydberg states of an incident highly charged ions, ten to a few hundreds kev of potential energy can be deposited into the solid surface layers in volumes with a nanometer size within 5 to 10fs and the energy power density can reach 1014 W/cm2 so that the defects in a size of the order of nanometers are created. These hollow atoms can be unexcitated by self-ionization, Auge r process and emissioning characteristic X-ray. Inside the hollow atoms , electrons are in different excitated state. Compared to single-charged ions, highly charged ions can lead to an increase of the order of one and three times in the yields of the secondary electrons and ions, respectively. It is these features above that the study on the interaction of highly charged ions with metal solid surfaces has been a hotspot problem of atomic physics in the world, and it have spread to solid physics, plasma physics, etc.We have built a research platform for atomic physics in the second experiment hall of the HI-13 tandem accelerator national laboratory in China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE). On the platform, we have experimentally studied the interaction of ions F5+, O5+ in different energy(20-55MeV) with solid surfaces of Au,Ta,Cu,Nb,Mo,Cd,Fe and Ni. In this thesis, we analysis the X-ray spectrum of the interaction of ion F5+ with Au , Ta, and make a chart of Au and Ta's L lamella X-ray intensity changing with inci dence ions with different energy. In the charge condition of our experiment, we found that the intensity of characteristic spectrum increase with the increasing energy of F5+.This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter generally introduces a brief introduction on the history, recent progress and meaning of the study on the interaction of highly charged ions with surfaces of solids. The second part is mainly some theories about the interaction of highly charged ions with surfaces of solids. The third chapter focuses on our main job ,we describe the research platform for atomic physics on the HI-13 tandem accelerator national laboratory, which we have built, and concerned experimental equipments and methods. The fourth chapter shows in detail the measurement of characteristic excitation spectra of the spurted atoms and the chart of Au and Ta's L lamella X-ray yield changing with incidence ions with different energy. Finally we summarize the obtained results and discuss the future work on the study of this field.
