Sand-dust-storm in our country northwest,places such as Mongolia some arid areas is very common.It even also occasionally arrives in capital Beijing. Typical THz wavelength is 300μm,from near the size distribution of dust particles in the atmosphere.Therefore,if the consideration design,the manufacture too terahertz wave communication equipment,must consider too the terahertz wave when passes the sand storm signal situation.The present paper foothold existing experimental condition,to simulates under the sand storm condition too a hertz correspondence,sensing image formation to carry on the sand storm influence the experimental study. Separately has tested under ten kind of different sand dust source condition in the transmission type too hertz time domain spectrum system and under the reflection type too terahertz time domain spectrum system the time domain spectrum,has analyzed power spectrum,the refractive index and the transmittance spectral line.Studies the transmission which,the refraction image with the scattering optics' Mie theory's research technique and the analysis obtains.This article obtains some first fruits,will continue the thorough research for later to accumulate the data and the information.The different origin's sand dust when the wind power is not too big,is not too big to the hertzian wave extinction ability difference,terahert wave has the good penetrability to it.The experiment obtains,in approximately third-level wind power situation: The approximately 100 milligrams each cubic meter air to 0.1 arrives at between 1.0THz including the sand dust the hertzian wave refractive index too approximately below 1.3,and reduces gradually along with frequency close 1.0THz.Simultaneously obtains in this frequency range too the hertzian wave transmission coefficient starts from 0.9 to reduce gradually.When the wind power further increases,because in the air mixes with a diameter bigger pellet,and the pellet distributes non-uniform,when the pellet passes through or approaches too a hertz path of rays,to the signal result will have the tremendous influence,causes the survey the result not to be very unstable.Regarding this when obtains the refractive index image uses the index fitting,obtains when result and low wind power obtains the result is similar.Present paper's chapter arrangement is as follows:The first chapter introduced the sand storm as well as under the sand storm condition optical detection difficulty.The second chapter introduced the light scattering correlation theories and the research technique.The third chapter introduced too the hertz radiation elementary theory.The fourth chapter has studied too the terahertz wave with the transmission type time domain too hertz spectrum system to the sand storm transmission characteristic.The fifth chapter has studied too the terahertz wave with the reflection type time domain too hertz spectrum system to the sand storm transmission characteristic.This paper repotted the characters of Terahertz pulse radiation to stimulant sand-dust storm by using THz-TDS.The tansmission spectra under different condition of stimulant sand-dust storm are obtained.At the same time we experimentalize the tansmission of imaging signal under different condition of stimulant sand-dust storm.Clear images were obtained.Above-mentioned results indicate Terahertz pulse can transmit image under the condition of stimulant sand-dust storm.
