Since social economy rapid development unceasingly brings sophisticated technology into actual production, the present technicians are no longer the traditional sense of operators. The modem vocational education must base upon the production practice and the requirement of enterprises, so as to have a definite object in view, and train technical talents to meet the needs of society and economic development, which is the survival and development base of, and the significance of vocational education. Nowadays at national level, the traditional model that secondary vocational education continues to adopt can hardly meet the needs of society and economic development. Reformation in secondary vocational education is imperative.By using literature research method and historical research method, this paper analyzes the problems existing in our country's secondary vocational education from the macro level. Through investigation and research, it analyzes the deep education problems existing in biotechnology major. By reference to the curriculum development model of foreign vocational education and based on the experiences and lessons from domestic development of vocational education, it applies the teaching theory of modern vocational education and takes Pathological Technique as the pilot course, and uses the task-based curriculum development model and carries out the practice and exploration on the curriculum reform.There are three parts in this paper. The structure of the paper is as followings:Part 1: Analyze the current situation and problems of secondary vocational education and its cause. Combine with the concrete conditions on biotechnology major of secondary vocational education, and discuss the teaching problems existing in the specialized courses and find out its solutions.Part 2: Explain the concept of curriculum, curriculum model and curriculum development and the related teaching theories. Mainly introduce the characters of vocational education curriculum and mature curriculum model of foreign vocational education, the domestic development course of vocational education and some beneficial attempt for the curriculum reform. Part3: Introduce the research emphasis of current vocational education------theconcept of practice- and task-based curriculum, and the concept, principle, process and difficulty of curriculum development. Regarding to the curriculum reform on biotechnology major's Pathological Technique of secondary vocational education, present the practical application of task-based curriculum model in teaching practice.The emphasis is to take the professional teaching of biotechnology major of secondary vocational education as breakthrough point, and apply the concept of task-based curriculum development during the curriculum reform of Pathological Technique, in order to explore the reform road of secondary vocational education, considering the problems existing in our country's secondary vocational education.
