As a new generation of precision satellite navigation and positioning system of Global Positioning System(GPS), which has been rapid development and wide application no matter in military field or civilian fields, for its characteristics of autonomy,concealment,all-weather and precision.With the rapid developpment of electronic technology and GPS technology applications expanded to the field of high dynamic applications, research high accuracy and dynamic GPS receiver will be an effective program of choice to eliminate Doppler's effect becase conventional GPS receiver can not significant solve the changes of Doppler shift and Doppler shift rate that were caused by the high-speed movement.Baseband signal processing technology determines the signal receiver how to capture and track signals, so study and design 16-channel fast acquisition correlator of high dynamic environments'GPS receiver play a strategic significance.The main content of the research was design a 16-channel fast acquisition correlator that's base on FPGA.Firstly, based on the analysis of GPS systems and the principle of receivers,the theoretical basis of correlator was raised; According to the doppler effect on the signal reception and the common methods of signal acquisition, rasing the folded fast catching matched filter correlator applicable to the rapid acquisition method; planning the correlator structure and the compositions of the overall module structure, quantified the design parameters of each module through 16-channel fast acquisition correlator's parameters analysis and structural design;Based on FPGA "top-down" design approach, using the Verilog HDL language Writing codes of modules; adopting Xilinx's ISE development software to realize correlator circuit, according to the simulation waveform of the circuit by simulation software_Modelsim to improve the design, while the right program is converted to a binary bit stream file to download to Spartan 3AN FPGA chip series XC3S1400AN Model;Finally, online ChipScope Pro logic analyzer tools for FPGA implementation of the rapid acquisition of 16-channel GPS correlator and composition of the module circuit verification and debug, verify the circuit waveforms under the curve of the module to improve and recommissioning verification, debugging the correct GPS related circuits.The subject of FPGA-based 16-channel fast acquisition GPS correlator was designed successfully, and programs were downloaded to the FPGA chip of the GPS receiver.Through live-fire test in real-time data logger records data throughout the projectile flight analysis, process analysis curves according to the flight GPS receiver can determine the successful realization of the target location within 10s.
