The orthorectification of satellite images is a foundational process in satellite applications. With the improvement of the satellite imaging technology and the orthorectification calculation models, the collection of Ground Control Point (GCP) is becoming the key factor restricting the efficiency and precision of orthorectification. The gradual maturity of image ground control point database (ICPDB) construction technology creates a new solution for this problem. However, the ICPDB have not been used broadly because of the restriction of data security and service efficiency. This paper proposed the web based remote sensing images automatically orthorectification service framework based on the background of the technologies and the policy.Focus on the satellite image orthorectification, this dissertation promoted the mixture structure with both B/S and C/S structures based on existing web services technologies. The framework could be divided into two parts, the service portal website and automatic image processing network. A complete security solution scheme was designed for this orthorectification service framework, which includes user identify authentication, image rectification method based on process parameters and encryption based on digital certificate. The ICPDB construction and automatic matching technologies were used in this framework. Then the main problems in the designing procedure were discussed, include mass storage file transferring, task scheduling, and automatic orthrectification under the control of workflow, and so on. Finally, the prototype system, which was developed based the framework promoted above, was tested with the IKONOS image of Kunming City. The test results showed that the security of this framework could meet the demand of application. What's more, the popularization of this framework can substantially improve the efficiency of satellite images orthorectification, and make the correction of the satellite images more professionally and automatically.
