In this paper, the bulidings are monitored in the way of digital close-range photogrammetry, with a view to find new application areas by digital close-range photogrammetry and to promote digital close-range photogrammetry and deformation monitoring techniques for further development.The use of digital close-range photogrammetry for deformation monitoring, the key is how quickly and accurately measure quantities of various monitoring points coordinate values on the deformable body. Flag like a party to obtain the precise coordinates of the purpose of achieving the above-mentioned one of the key technologies. The pixel coordinates of signs point access to digital images taken on can be gotten directly by image processing software, (such as photoshop). After this two-dimensional space by affine transformation, pixel coordinates of control points measured can be converted to the image spce coordinate system coordinates the origin of which is the center of photograph. However, this method is labor-intensive, and low efficiency, if combined digital image processingmethods and the marks laid shape, the image coordinates can be extracted automatically and accurately, which will further enhance the accuracy of digital close-range photogrammetry. In this paper, automatic extraction of landmarks begin to SIFT operator, based on VC language is the base of the automatic feature pointextraction. Mapping scientific and technological workers have done a lot of work in the close-range photogrammetry for deformation monitoring. Through special technical design of buildings and the establishment of three-dimensional control field, experimental study have been done in to find an economical, fast and effective new method for deformation monitoring of the buildings through application of professional and non-metric digital camera and photogrammetric data proce-ssing workstation.Important buildings are monitored precise during long-term in order to determine the deformation state, which is important to its safe operation, maintenance and design. The contents of deformation generally observed subsidence monitoring, the horizontal displacement monitoring and tilte deformation monitoring. The deformation structures are mostly the whole deformation is the result of the combined effects of multiple factors. According to the above reasons, in this paper, high precision three-dimensional coordinates of monitoring points is expected to get in using digital close-range photogrammetry method through digital images and a series of data processing method. The deformation value of the building is obtained by a few observations, in order to provide guidance on the safe operation of the building.
