TiO2 sol was synthesized from 4-butyl titanate by the method of sol-gel and diatomaceous earth and glass fiber net are used for the supported TiO2 to prepared immobilized photocatalysts.a certain concentration of direct red and acid red as solution targeted degradation,Photocatalytic properties of TiO2 suspension and synthesis conditions of supported TiO2 were studied under ultraviolet radiation.The experimental results indicated that: TiO2 have a good photocatalytic degradation for acid red and direct red, the effects of pH, initial concentration,TiO2 dosage, radiation time and other parameters have a certain impact on the degradation effect.the decolorization rate of acid red and direct red reached 74% and 85% in the most suitable conditions.Supported TiO2 by diatomaceous earth and glass fiber network has a good performance of photocatalytic degradation for dyes.the effects of Catalyst ratio,calcination temperature,time of calcination,diameter of glass fiber and other parameters have a certain impact on catalytic performance of supported TiO2. the decolorization rate of acid red and direct red reached 72% and 66% in the most suitable conditions.
