Proper mining room size is the key point to make use of the nature resource. With the deducing of the mining resource, it is becoming to an important research subject that how to chose the proper mining room size.The mining resource are becoming more and more rarely, with increasing requirement for mining resource, development of mining technology and development of product level. It was becoming into a big concerning that How to get the mining resource properly,economically,effectively and safely.For the mining method of empty room, a small mining pillar and a big mining room will provide a highly efficient. But at the same time, safety problem comes out. So it is very important to choose to proper pillar and room sizeFact to the real situation of geologic condition,hydro-geologic engineer-geology and ore character, we study on this situation of different size under the help of ANSYS software. Our study includes the following items:For the purposes of getting the proper mining room size, this article created a model to simulate the No 1 copper mining strips. Firstly, we simulated and calculated the model which based on the mining method the mining company used. Through the result, we found that the mining room was collapsed. After that, we simulate and calculated six different models with different pillar size and room size and get a proper mining room size. The main content of this article are as follows:(1) It refers to a great deal of domestic and international materials. It comprehends the current situation of the optimum study on stope structural parameters both at home and abroad.(2)We collect the ore geology condition ore existing condition and ore parameters from the DaHongShan No1 mining stripe.(3) We do analysis on the ore mechanics parameters which collected from the dahongshan copper mining pit. With these parameters, we get the parameters we need.(4)We do stimulated calculations on the model of Nol copper stripes. There are six models we created and from the calculations we get a proper size for the mining system size:40 meter for the length of mining room and 6 meter for mining pillar.This article is a good guide for the DaHongShan mining system, especially for NO1 copper strip. The method used in this article also can be used in other mining system, for the research on technology.
