Gallium is an important scattered elements, is widely used in the electronics industry and the nuclear energy industry. Along with the rapid development of science and technology, Gallium in the role of the national economy is also growing. Yellow phosphorus is an indispensable chemical raw materials for the development of China's national economy. The phosphorus industry has producted a large number of yellow phosphorus slags and flue dust. As a result, the recycling of phosphorus slag and flue dust is an important environmental issue of yellow phosphorus industry. The research of extraction gallium from the flue dust extraction in the phosphorus industry is playing an important role in the full and efficient use of limited resources, enhancing the competitiveness of yellow phosphorus industry.In this paper, in view of this situation, the technology and conditions of gallium extraction from flue dust were studied.A new method about gallium extraction from flue dust is introduced in this paper: pretreatment -the Preparation of pre-extraction solution-extraction and stripping. Obtain the best conditions by single factor experiments and the orthogonal experiments. This paper will focus on extraction and stripping experiment.we acquire the material balance of whole experimental process and the elements balance of the flue dust's main elements through the ampliative experimental.In this paper,the innovation points are:1. Pretreatment stage:In the published literature, The consumption of sulfate is more than (50g sulfuric acid / 50g flue dust) for leaching gallium in flue dust. In this paper, by optimizing the process conditions, assurance at a higher rate of gallium extraction (93%),The consumption of sulfate is reduced to (45g sulfate / 50g electric dust).2. Preparation of pre-extraction solution stage:The leaching solution as raw material, A joint process which have not been reported was adopted:phosphate precipitation-hydrochloric acid dissolution-reducting Fe3+, the pre-extraction solution which is uitable for the TBP extraction system.3. Extraction and stripping stage: TBP is used as extractants in extraction experiments, the third phase occurs. To resolve this problem, a new method on the composition of organic phase is adopted, this method not only successfully eliminated the third phase, but also make the extraction rate of gallium reach up to more than 95%.
