The cavity which caused by the mines of metal undeground developing endanger the safety of mines seriously. With the advantaged method of cavity measure system, based on the cavity measure technology to opening the researching and application. It had become an important research task of the safety production of metal mine in China.It is an important basic work for the developing of hidden trouble resource, defend and control of stopes to master the 3D configuration space position, factual boundary, the cubage and surface area of the exploitation.In this paper, the relevant theoretical analysis, on-site detection, building three-dimensional model in cavity and information management system are applied. The reaserch results are as follows:(1) the arithmetic of three-dimensional model in cavity had been designed.(2) the actual-detected data by CMS are used as basis,The actual-detected data in cavity are obtained,analysised and processed using IDL (Interactive Data Language) language,the three-dimensional model in cavity is built,manipulated and computed.(3) The information sysstem in cavity is built using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and VC++6.0.(4) with the actual-detected data in Dahongshan's cavity,the three-dimensional visual and information system are tested,applied.The paper intends to carry out goaf safty management on the basis of accurate goaf information access by means of advanced goaf detection system, and set up three-dimensional visual information goaf management system, which has an important guiding significance in the safty of underground mine production from the model establishment to the actual application.
