This paper studied the level of environmental knowledge, environmental awareness and environmental behavior on respondents, through the survey data of public environmental behavior, around six districts in Xi'an City. It found:the average score of the first class environmental knowledge is about 90 points, while the second class specialized environmental knowledge score,is about 80 points, indicating the public's environmental knowledge score is relatively high in general, with a certain degree of environmental knowledge. On the face of environmental awareness, more than 90% of the public in favor of human beings living in harmony with nature, and 62.6% of the sample expressed willingness to reduce the enjoyment of life, or 71.5% of the sample is willing to accept a tax to protect the environment, so people have realized the importance of environmental protection. AS for environmental behavior is unsatisfactory, the subjects addicted to economic constraints strongly, such as using energy-saving products, closing faucets and other behaviors are over 60% in the sample, but few are willing to use recycled paper, sort living garbage or plant trees. And those high levels of environmental behavior almost never involved in, such as preventing others from damaging environments, suing to solve environmental pollution problems, participating in environmental publicity, at most only occasionally concerned about some environmental events. The public is generally satisfied with the environmental policy, however, environmental policies do not have a positive impact on the public environmental behaviors, it is still in relatively lower level of Environmental participation. To this end, the paper proposes several policy recommendations to improve public environmental behaviors. |
