Micro-nano composite technology and micro-nano composite materials emerge inevitablely with the maturation, diversification and industrialization of the microtechnology and nanotechnology. Micro-nano composite materials have specific applied worth in the field of biological and medical detection, because of it not only have the special structure but also combine many excellent features of micromaterials and nanomaterials. So micro-nano composite materials and technology have been a new hotspot and aspect in the area of materials research.This paper based on fabrication of porous anodic alumina membrane (PAAM). Firstly, we discussed the process of fabricating PAAM, characterized the morphology and structure by the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and then the formation mechanisms of PAAM investigated detailedly. Secondly, many low dimensional alumina nanostructures were formed through the way of chemical etching PAAM. After observed the morphology of low dimensional alumina nanostructures, we discussed the reason that forming nanosturctures by chemical etching PAAM. Thirdly, integrating focused ion beam (FIB) etching technology and aluminum anodic oxide method, the PAAM with micro-patterns were obtained on the surface of Al sheet. Fourthly, the polyer named PMMA was used to copy the porous anodic alumina, a kind of PMMA membrane with controllable nanostructures were synthesized simplely. Then PMMA were used to copy the porous alumina template with micro-pattern, micro-nano composite structures were synthesized on the surface of PMMA membrane. Lastly, the structure, perviousness rate and hydrophobic property of the PMMA membrane were characterized and mensurated, we found the micro-nano composite structures on the membrane are micro-channel with nanopillars inside.
