In the study,Amphoteric starches were prepared in two steps. Through the studies of zwitterion starch ether, it will provides theoretical basis and reference data for synthesis of other oher starch ethers. Thus it's contributing to the emergence of much more and better starch ethers. And hope in the basis of laboratory research,further in the production practice of starch derivatives ethers synthesis and application can it take a Guiding role.In the process of synthesis experiment, with corn starch as rough material, 3-chloro-2-hydroxrypropyltrimethylammonium chloride as cationic etherifying agent,with low DS were prepared by traditional wet reaction, Using a single factor experiment analysis and orthogonal test analysis to identify the best reaction conditions:Starch 60g, etherifying agent 3.0g, PH value for 11, reaction temperature for 50℃, reaction time for 5h.then sodium tripolyphosphate act with cationic starch by hemi-dry process, the best reaction conditions:cationic starch 50g,phosphate 3g, PH value for 6, reaction temperature for 150℃, reaction time for lh. Using infrared spectrum of the modified starch structure to characteristic the product, confirmed the corn starch happened amphiphilic reaction process.In the applied experimental part,investigated of the modified amphoteric starch on paste abilities,film behaviours,adhesions to fibers,The effects of the starch-PVA blends on the adhesion to polyester fibers or cotton fibers or polyester/cotton fibers were estimated.The study on this subject will provide theoretical basis and reference data for zwitterion starch ether more further development,is a positive significance that to improve the textile quality and production efficiency as reducing energy consumption.
