The process of cold-rolled steel strip electrolytic cleaning is affected by many factors. At present, the parameters of electrolytic cleaning are chosen mainly by experiment and through experience. Numerical simulation in current efficiency of electrolytic cleaning process is significant for study mechanism and optimizing parameters of electrolytic cleaning. In this paper, the process of electrolytic cleaning is studied, and a simple two-dismensional model of electrolytic cleaning which without any accessories is established according to theory of electrochemical and electromagnetic. Then, a more complex two-dismensional model of electrolytic cleaning is established. The models are solved in accordance with FDM(finite difference method), and whether polarization of electrodes or the inflation of bubble occur are investigate separately in the process of simulation study. Current efficiency was measured in different conditions by experiment. The optimal two-dismensional model of electrolytic cleaning is confirmed in accordance with the results of experiment. The error between the experiment and the simulation are also analyzed.Current efficiency in the process of electrolytic cleaning such as the interval of electrodes, the length of electrodes, the length of insulation board, the size of electrolytic through, concentration of electrolyte and temperature are investigate in the process of simulation study.
