Electrolytic cleaning for cold rolled strip is affected by several factors, current density, electrolysis time, temperature and concentration of electrolyte and so on. In the past decades, electrolytic cleaning has been widely studied by domestic and foreign insiders. Nevertheless, they often pay more attention to the relation between some single factor and cleaning effect, not the whole factors. At present, the parameters of processing are chosen mainly through experience, not only wasting the resources but also having a low efficiency. In the paper, the processing parameters of electrolytic cleaning are studied in view of multivariate factors, using the software simulation and analysis, which plays an important part in the process of studying mechanism and optimizing parameters of electrolytic cleaning.In this paper, the electrolytic cleaning mechanism and complex impact of technological parameter to electrolytic cleaning effect were studied on the basis of experiment and system modeling, including emulsification, saponification, conductivity of electrolyte and overpotential. Software of electrolytic cleaning for cold rolled strip has been developed. It is supposed that remaining dirt on surface of strip is evenly distributed before electrolytic cleaning with thickness of d, a bubble (radius of r) generated from strip can remove dirt with the volume of 4Ï€r2d, and in the process of a bubble generated the thickness of the dirt (d) keeps invariant. Under the premise of simplified conditions, taking Faraday's Law as a starting point main model had been built. And so expressions of the relations between process parameters and decontamination ratio were obtained. The results of experiment accord with those of simulation. Based on the model, using mixed program of Matlab and Visual VC++, the simulation program software was developed. The results show emulsification ratio, saponification ratio and conductivity of electrolyte go up along with temperature and concentration of electrolyte.And influence of overpotential to surface tension is little, which can been ignored. And the way to simulate original electrolytic cleaning process of cold rolled strip is feasible.
