At present, the twin-roll technology was studied actively in China. But neither in theory nor in industry is still able to achieve large-scale product requirement , It is a big gap compared with foreign countries . The reason is that it is backward in technology and equipment relatively. Because the range of control parameters is small in roll-strip casting, it is hard to be controlled freely. Therefore the strip quality is not very good. The quality of the casting strip depends on the pouring way, cast-rolling process, cooling in secondary cooling zone and heat treatment, etc. This paper selects the solidification of liquid steel in cast-rolling area as the research direction, based on the solidification theory, to AlSi304 stainless steel for example, affecting slab microstructure parameters were analyzed which used Micro and CAFémodule in the finite element software Procast. These technological parameters including pouring temperatureT,pool depthH and casting speedv.The results show that:1. Reduce pouring temperature properly when other parameters are constant, the grain is refined. As pouring temperature decrease, the columnar crystal slab continuous decrease, the intermediate equiaxial area enlarges unceasingly, Uniform organization can not be getted untill the temperature dropped to appropriate.2. When other process parameters are constant, the greater pool depth is, the larger primary dendrite and secondary dendrite size is, and the grain is also more bulky. The changes of pool depth of has a great influence on the scale to growth and area size of the columnar crystal.3. When other parameters are constant, enlarge the casting speed, the primary dendrite and secondary dendrite grow slowly, and the final grains become tiny.4. Combined with the simulation results and product experience, the parameters of mentioned above are suggested as followed. Pouring temperature is 1514℃, pool depth is 130mm and casting speed is 0.8 m/s.5. The simulation results and experimental results were compared, the results are in good conformity. It shows that the mode is correct which can direct the practice to some extent.
