In this work, seven compounds were obtained under ionothermal conditions and characterized:(1) (VEIM)2(ZnI4)(2) (VEIM)2(CdI4)(3) (VEIM)(H2BTC)(H3BTC)(4) [(VEIM)3(H2BTC)2(H3BTC)6I3·H2O]n(5) [Cd3(BTC)2(H2O)2-2H2O]n(6){[ALMIM][Cd(BTC)]}n(7) [CuPb2I2Br(OH)2]nThe four ion liquids utilized in the synthsis are 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([EMIM]Br), 1-ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium ([EMMIM]Br),1-allyl -3-methylimidazolium ([ALMIM]Br), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium iodide ([VMIM]I), which serve as solvents, templates and charge balance species.X-ray single-crystal diffraction shows that compound 1 and 2 belong to the tetragonal I41/a space group.3 belong to the monoclinic P21/c space group. Compounds 4 and 5 are in triclinic P-1 space group.6 crystallizes in orthorhombic system, space group Pbca. One inorganic compound 7 is cubic, space group I4(1)/acd.The seven compounds have been characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, elemental anlsis, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared spectra, Raman spectra and solid photoluminescence measurements.
